The management of Plateau United Football Club of Jos has banned fans from accessing the VIP stance at the Jos international stadium during the Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL matches with immediate effect.
This followed the actions and attitudes of some fans who has constituted themselves as nuisance which is capable of tarnishing the image of the club thereby dragging the image of the game to disrepute.
According to the General Manager of the Club, Pius Henwan the decision to ban fans from the VIP became necessary in order to preserve the image of the club.
” The management of the club views the activities of these unscrupulous elements as barbaric and unacceptable. As a club we do not tolerate this behaviour which does not have a place in modern football.
” As a club we shall not tolerate any act that is capable of bringing the much cherish NPFL and the beautiful game to disrepute.
The statement also warned those who do not have any business in the tracks to stay clear of the place as security has been directed to deal decisively with anybody that violates the order.
