Semifinalists have emerged in the maiden edition of the Plateau State Women League as the trio of Gotaks United Queens FC of Mangu local government area, Tin City Queens of Jos, and Pankshin United Girls of Pankshin local council made it to the last four after winning their matches yesterday.
The league’s top scorer thus far, Mary Godim, increased her goals haul to eight after netting a brace against Vision FC, to give Tin City Queens a smooth passage to the semi-final.
Tin City Queens are the only team in the competition yet to concede, while Jazzy Stars Damsels at the other hand, the only team not to score a goal before bowing out of the competition. Their 3-0 ghostlike result at the Panyam Mini Stadium in Mangu local government area, paved the way for the rampaging Gothas United Queens to make it to the semi-final.
Here are other results of matches played yesterday: Joe-K Queens 1 Chapel Girls 0 and Pankshin United Girls 1 Bungha Queens 0.
It will be a fight to finish at the Jos center on Wednesday and Friday as the quartet of Vision Girls, Mees Palace Lynxes, Joe-K Angels, and Chapel Girls all with 3points each battle themselves out for the last semi-final slot.
