Director General, Lagos State Sports Commission, Oluwatoyin Gafaar, flanked by the newly crowned Lagos African Champion ,Omole Dolapo, who had a successful outing in the Boxing event at the just concluded African qualifiers of Paris 2024 Olympics Games in Dakar, Senegal.
Dolapo defeated Leta Fekremeriyam Yadesa of Ethiopia in the final of the 57kg men’s category winning 5-0 in a unanimous decision.
He stood his ground on the ring from the beginning to the end as the undisputed boxer to earn a slot for the Paris 2024 Olympics Games in France.
Recall that he grabbed gold for Lagos State at the 20th edition of the National Sports Festival in Edo.
Dolapo will be flying Nigeria’s colours as the Games begins in Paris next year.
