Despite playing a 1- 1 draw with Rivers Angels in a Titanic clash that was rated by football pundits as star match of the week, Deputy Governor of Edo State Rt. Hon. Philip Shaibu has pour praises on Edo Queens players for their hard-fighting Spirit after an unpardonable professional mistake made by the Assistant Referee (AR) 2 that resulted in River’s Angel’s controversial goal.
Addressing the players at the end of the game, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu, urged the players to continue with the never say no spirit, adding that they should not be distracted by the draw.
“I’m happy with your determination and fighting spirit, keep up, this is one of the best female league matches I have watched, I’m proud of you girls. Just keep on with the good work and remember our target.”
“I have promised that we would give you something to celebrate Christmas and we would do that. So I say Merry Christmas to you all,” the Governor added.
