Paul Aigbogun afraid of failure with U-20

Coach of Nigeria’s U20 national team Paul Aigbogun has admitted being under pressure to succeed and achieve his target of doing well at next year’s U20 Africa Cup of Nations in Tanzania and also ensuring that the team books qualification for the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland from May 25 to June 16.

The Nigerian team arrives Togo’s capital city of Lome ahead of the WAFU organized preparatory tournament for West African teams featuring at the AFCON U-20 Championships in Tanzania in 2019.

Aigbogun has done one better than the last U-20 team tutored by ex international Emmanuel Amunike who failed to qualify for the African championships in 2017 but has said his aim is to ensure that the team does well in Africa enough to book a World Cup ticket.

The Flying Eagles handler said his inner desire is to see his team become a finished article for the AFCON after being put to test in the West Africa regional cup competition which he believes will be adequate enough to prepare the Flying Eagles.

Nigeria will face Benin Republic in its first match before playing arch rivals Ghana in the second match.
