Brazil and Japan, two nations with a rich football heritage, as well as Spain, the 2023 Women’s World Cup champions, are seeded in the same group with the Super Falcons.

Asisat Oshoala, however, draw attention to the fact that Nigeria had previously triumphed in the World Cup despite facing a similarly formidable group.

Nigeria’s Super Falcons have qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympics, marking their first appearance in the prestigious event in 16 years.

After a tight two-leg match that saw the club defeat South Africa’s Bayana Bayana 1-0 on aggregate, they secured their position.

The women’s football competition is scheduled to begin on July 25, one day prior to the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games, and conclude on August 10 in Paris with the final.

Every game during the group round is crucial because the top two teams from each group, along with the two best third-place teams, move on to the quarterfinals.
