It was a good day for Nigeria on the track on Saturday morning when the duo Favour Ashe and Kanyinsola Ajayi made it to the Semi Final of the 100 meter event in Paris .

Favour Ashe narrowly secured a place in the semi-finals of the men’s 100m event, after taking the last non-automatic spot with the 10.16s returned in his heat.
Favour had his hang in the balance after he finished fourth in Heat 4 of the Men’s 100m, behind Jamaica’s Oblique Seville, Japan’s Abdul Hakim Sani Brown, and Thailand’s Thurpool Bonboon.
Kanyinsola Ajayi won his race, heat 5 convincingly to book an automatic place in the Semi Final with a time of 10.02 s.
However The third representative in the 100 meter , Godson Brumen was not listed due to injury.
