In strict compliance with NFF, the highest Football rulling body’s directives in her meeting on Saturday, 26th January, 2019 amongst other issues to immediately convene an Extra Ordinary Congress (before the expiration of its tenure) to pick a new date between 26th May and 30th June, 2019 as the terminal date for its board and date for it’s Elective Congress to be presided over by the current boards of respective State FAS recognized by the NFF.
After due deliberations in the Extra Ordinary Congress of the Oyo State Football Association which was conducted on Friday, 22nd February, 2019 at the Boardroom of OYSFA , Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan, the congress resolved and approved as follows:
1) That the tenure of the current Executive Committee led by *Chief James Oluyemi Odeniran* formerly slated for 25th February, 2019 is extended to Thursday, 20th June, 2019 as the new date for the next election .
2) That the date for the Elective Congress be held on Thursday, 20th June, 2019.
3) That the screening of all the contestants be held between Tuesday, 4th and Thursday, 6th June, 2019.
4) That the names of the successful candidates shall be published and pasted in the office of OYSFA on Monday, 10th of June, 2019
5) That the Electoral Committee should continue with the election process.
