Excellent football club continue on their impressive form in the on going late Stephen Keshi U17 tournament as they defeated their quarter finals opponent IB sports Academy of Abuja by four goals to nil.
Sports247.ng caught up with one of the goal scorers in the four nil bashing of IB sports Academy, Ovwigbo Abegnigo who netted two out of the four goals scored today.
An elated Ovwigbo Abegnigo could not control his joy for helping his club to secure the semi finals ticket, in his words
“I am very happy to have scored two goals to lead my team into the semi finals” .
Speaking further, he said he could not find the back of the net from the group stages but the coach believed in his abilities and kept motivating him, and the result is the two goals scored.
Ovwigbo Abegnigo dedicated the two goals to his coach and CEO of the club, James Onome.
The tournament continues tomorrow with the semi finals games to see which teams makes it to the final that is coming up on Sunday June 12, 2022.
