Ayodele Akinpelu, Iganmu Tigers FC coach is leaving nothing to chance ahead of the 2023/24 campaign revealing that their focus now is to have a strong finish in the upcoming Creative League which will kick start October.

He allayed that their level of preparedness gives them the assurance that they can have a strong outing different from the past two seasons as they are ready to mount a healthy challenge, Sports247.ng.
“It’s off-season but nonetheless we have been preparing so hard for the Creative League, that’s the competition ahead of us now before the NLO as we use it to promote the young ones”.
“The last one we played, we have three to five players that were promoted to the team in Japan and that’s why we want to use this league to groom a new crop of players.
On the team’s ultimate target – “this is the third edition of the Creative League, the first one we didn’t participate well because we just came new, second we tried and finished fifth but right now, more teams have joined the competition.”
“This time around, we are now fourteen (14), and the only teams ahead of us are Beyond Limits and Imperial FC who we want to challenge and dethrone to win the league.”
“Our preparation for the young ones is to groom them to a certain standard, then send them out to Europe just like the last creative that we played, we were able to send three players to Japan and likewise in the NLO.”
“We want to give them the platform to grow as much as possible and this season will be no different because that’s what the chairman of the club is committed to, kudos to him and the management”.
