Speaking after the intense clash at the Soun Stadium, Ogbomoso, Ayeni emphasized the resilience and determination displayed by his team, crediting their never-say-die attitude for securing all three points. However, he reserved special appreciation for the fans, calling them “the real MVPs” for their unwavering support throughout the tense encounter.
“I want to sincerely thank the entire team for their resilience, determination, and doggedness,” Ayeni said. “But more importantly, I must appreciate our incredible supporters. They never gave up, they stood by us till the final whistle, and that made all the difference. Their patience and belief pushed us forward, and in the end, we got the reward.”
The match seemed destined to end in frustration until the dying moments when Moses Ngbede rose highest to head home from the last corner kick of the game, sealing a hard-fought victory for the Ajilete Warriors. The goal sparked wild celebrations as Crown FC climbed to the top of the NNL Conference A table with 17 points.
Looking ahead, Ayeni has already turned his focus to the next challenge as Crown FC prepares for a crucial Matchweek 10 fixture against 1472 FC in Lagos on February 15. The coach remains confident but insists his team must remain humble and focused.
“This win is a big motivation, but we must keep working hard. The race is far from over, and every game counts. We will prepare well for our next match and give our best once again,” he added.
With momentum on their side and a passionate fanbase behind them, Crown FC’s promotion dream is alive and stronger than ever!
