Former Stationery Stores star player who is the Chairman of OTTASOLO INTERNATIONAL based in Lagos believes the academy is waxing stronger according to Gabriel Davies who spoke with newsmen yesterday in Lagos.
“OTTASOLO INTERNATIONAL FC, am the brainchild of this concept after I played for stationery Stores, Nitel Lagos, and as well played continental teams in the Benin Republic far back then in the early ’90s, the Dragons, Energy, and Mogas 90. I played for these three teams. I was the second Nigerian to play in the Benin Republic league after Peter Rufai. It was after my football career that I took the likes of Razak Omotoyosi, Muri ogunbiyi, and a host of others to the Benin Republic because I actually made a statement during my playing days in the Benin Republic.
“I left for Europe immediately after football, I came back to the country felt I have to give back to society, that is why I established OTTASOLO INTERNATIONAL FC. The academy is actually waxing stronger as I speak with you, we have produced some players who are actually playing in the Nigerian Professional Football league and our main aim is to produce players who will represent the national teams at different levels and as well players who will play in Europe top-flight leagues.
“As I speak with you OTTASOLO INTERNATIONAL FC has inspired the likes of Lukman Haruna, Muri Ogunbiyi, and Razak Omotoyosi who happened to be the all-time highest goal scorer of the Benin Republic senior national team to date, all these players do train with the OTTASOLO Academy, anytime they are in the country to inspire the young ones knowing fully well some of them the likes of Razak, Muri ogunbiyi are boys who I actually took to the Benin Republic so just to inspire the young one and tell make them sees the reason why they can make it in football.
The pitch of the Ottasolo international FC was graced by the Media Assistant to the Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports Development Kola Daniel and as well Coach Gbenga Ogunbote the head coach of Sunshine Football Club of Akure.
Other notable dignitaries in attendance who was inspired by Gabriel Davies are Former Super Eagles player Haruna Lukman and fringe Super Eagles player Raheem Lawal, also part of the party was former under 17 world cup winner Japan 93′ Festus Odini who was also part of the notable personalities in attendance to celebrate OTTASOLO INTERNATIONAL football club.
The former stationary stores player Gabriel Davies concluded by saying “it is my dream to help footballers, it is my dream to ensure that what I could not get during my playing days, these young players with OTTASOLO can as well be the great beneficiary and make their family proud.
