Ossy Angels emerged as Champions of the 2020 edition of the Asisat Oshoala Foundation Football4girls tournament after defeating Victory Queens 3-0 to win the grand prize on Thursday (Yesterday).
With that win in the final against the Victory Queen, Ossy Angels were declared champions of the competition.
Ossy Angels scored once in the first half and twice in the second half to emerge the Champions of the competition.
Ossy Angels’ star Player Onyenezide Esther was named the most valuable player (MVP) in the tournament, following an outstanding performance in the semifinal as well as the final.
As champions of the annual tournament, Ossy Angels went home with the grand prize of $1000.
Eight female academies across Lagos State competed in the eight-aside competition in a knockout format.
Earlier before the final, the third-place match between Phoenix Queens and SGH Queens had ended Goalless (0-0) before Phoenix Queens came out tops with a 4-2 win on a penalty shoot-out to finish third in the tournament.
The Asisat Oshoala Foundation Football4girls tournament will hope to continue its excitement when it returns next year (2021).
