Osun United have praised the Osun State government for adequate payment of players and cosches’ salaries despite financial difficulties during this corona virus pandemic period.
Osun United, one of the team’s in the NNL have not been in league action since January.
Exclusively speaking to Sports247, the team’s captain, Hakeem Olalere said “Yes. We are being paid salary every month. They (government) are trying their best, they make sure everyone is happy during this pandemic.”
He however lamented on how the pandemic has affected the team playing friendly to keep in shape ahead of the NNL restart.
“This is a very difficult period due to the pandemic. It is not not easy, we have just been trying somethings at home; you can’t compare what you do at home with what is done on the pitch.”
Osun United were third in their Nigerian National League group before the league was abruptly postponed indefinitely.
