Former interim head coach of Abia Warriors of Umuahia, Chijioke Gabriel Osuagwu has returned to the technical crew of Heartland of Owerri, in which he served during the tenure of ex-international, Samson Siasia.
Sports247.ng gathered that the former Lagos-based youth development coach is back in The Naze Millionaires’ crew as an assistant coach, with a view towards helping the Imo State-owned club get a better season.
Osuagwu, who was also once Heartland’s interim head coach, before the club settled for the more exposed Emeka Ezeugo, returns to Owerri are a long stretch of job stops that also took him to Go-Round FC of Omuku among a couple of other teams over the years.
The native of Ngwa in Abia State is now seeking a return to the spotlight and chance to put himself back on track for a top job, which he says has been his biggest desire since starting out as grassroots football coach.
Osuagwu told sports247: “I am back at Heartland. I am back better than before, and I believe I will be able to contribute good ideas that will help the club do better next season.”
