Following his double for Sporting Charleroi against Kortrijk, Wolfsburg loanee Victor Osimhen tops the scoring chart for Nigeria Players plying their trade in Europe.
The 20-year-old’s brace helped Charleroi secure Europa League qualification and took his tally for the season to 18 goals from 33 appearances – placing him as the highest rated Nigeria in the European Golden Shoe rankings with 27 points.
FC Midtjylland striker, Paul Onuachu is the closest player to Osimhen with a rating point of 25.5 accumulated from 17 goals scored this season.
However, Onuachi still has a chance to overtake the youngster if he scores for his Danish side when they host Esbjerg on Sunday.
Despite having a game to play this weekend, Galatasaray’s Henry Onyekuru and FC Luzern’s Blessing Eleke who have both hit the back of the net 14 and 13 times respectively cannot overtake Osimhen unless they do something extraordinary.
Completing the top five spot is former MFM striker Stephen Odey and Trabzonspor’s Anthony Nwakaeme who have scored 10 goals each this season.
