Dosu Football Academy this afternoon have crashed out of the ongoing Oshorun Saheed Football Competition.
In the quarter final played on Thursday morning, Fackson Tofido Football Club defeated Dosu Joseph Football Academy 4-2 on penalties after two goals apiece at the regulation time.
The pulsating encounter which was watched by hundreds of spectators held at the Rehabilitation sports center, Ojodu Berger, Lagos.
Reacting to the defeat,Dosu Joseph Academy Coach,Kayode Agboola said his players did well but regretted that his team crashed out in the quarter final.
“It was a good match unfortunately one of my players lost concentration in the last minute which gave our opponents equaliser.I cannot say much about penalty shootout because it can go either way.
“I congratulate our opponents for this hard fough victory and wish them best of luck in their semi final game against Tops FC,”he said.
Fackson Coach, Farouk Yusuf described their victory as a result of hardworking and commitment on the part of the players.
He admitted that both teams played good football but thanked goodness for winning the game through penalties.
In other quarter final match, Tops FC defeated Flexy FC 2-1.
Tops FC are expected to play Fackson Tofido in the first semi final while winners between Shuffle Select and AD Red Bulls would face winners between Westerlo and Prolific Stars in the second semi final.
