Wahid Enitan has been elected as the new president of Africa Table Tennis Federation, ATTF at the 2024 Annual General Meeting of the body which took place on Tuesday in Ethiopia.
Oshodi was unanimously elected as the President of the body and thus became the second Nigerian, after Engineer Segun George who held the position in the past.
Oshodi who once served as the former Commissioner for Youth, Sports, and Social Development in Lagos State, succeeds Egypt’s Khaled El-Salhy, who has led the Federation since 2010.
Meanwhile, President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Wahid Oshodi over his election.
In his congratulatory message, Tinubu described Oshodi’s election as a proud moment for Nigeria.
According to Tinubu, Oshodi will bring his extensive leadership experience to elevate ATTF and the sport to the next level of success across the continent.
