Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala has been issued a visa by the France embassy and will be joining her teammates at their Austria camp on Sunday.
Oshoala arrived the country on Wednesday after the UEFA Champions League final to submit her international passport and all necessary documents in Abuja.
The 24-year-old was issued a visa on Thursday and is expected to leave for Europe on Saturday night to resume preparations for the FIFA Women’s Cup in France next month.
The former Liverpool and Rivers Angel striker made history last Saturday when she became the first African to score in a UEFA women’s championship final after netting the only goal in Barcelona Ladies 4-1 loss to Lyon.
Oshoala scored eight goals in 11 matches for Barca Ladies and will hope to replicate her form for Nigeria at the Women’s World Cup.
