Sports administrator, Onome Obruthe has laid into the Super Falcons shambolic display against South Africa losing out 4-2 at the just concluded Aisha Buhari’s cup with the team full of aged foreign-based stars as he calls for their exit to give room for new young, talented, homegrown potentials, Sports247 understands.
Onome remarked after the shameful defeat with a picture with the Bayana’s No 17 forward Ktaglana, “this super talent deserves some accolades, what she did to our mother Eagles was bespoke,” he said in praise of the vibrant forward.
“Honestly any player in that team that has played for eight years and above should be driven away, our reserve goalie today was in goal for us as at 2007 all African games, Rita our number 10, Onome Ebi, Faith Ikhidi, Francisca Ordega, Asisat oshoala, and Desire Oparanozie, all must go as they have tried.”
“I was with these young South African team and saw JSS 2 students look like, tutoring our old women in the beautiful game, I hereby call on the NFF to drive the so-called oyinbo coach and Nigerians should stop writing negative reports whenever these names listed aren’t invited.”
“Those that belittled and whitewashed Monday Gift and wrote that older players should be invited instead will all meet their doom soon, the American coach and all the Nigerian on the bench should be sacked immediately, arrant… display and complete disgrace”, he lamented.
