Organisers of the third edition, Jimoh Ajao free age football competition have declared that this year’s edition would be better organised in terms of organisation, officiating and standard of play by the participants.
Chairman’ Organising Committee, Arowosafe Adeshina said they have put machinery in motion to organise a memorable annual competition and urged the participating teams to play the game according to the rules and regulations.
“The competition is the talk of the Town in Alimosho and the participating clubs are ready for the competition.This year’s edition would be better organized and colourful because the cup donor, Honourable Jimoh Ajao wants the best for the tourney and we the organisers are ready to put all the logistics in place to make the edition a memorable one,”he said.
Adeshina noted that the competition would kick off on November 20 at the Jimoh Ajao football pitch, Igando, Alimosho,Lagos.
He said the draw ceremony would hold soon, Adeshina advised the participating teams to shun violence during and after the game.
He disclosed that there would be cash prizes and gift to the outstanding players saying that the finalists would be kitted with new brand jerseys.
He disclosed that the objective of the competition is to keep the youths busy during this political campaign and ensure that the players are fully engaged through football.
“The cup donor is sponsoring the tourney to empower the youths through football and also to keep them away from the street.It is going to be an interesting competition and involves eight teams in Alimosho,”he concluded.
