Super Falcons forward Francisca Ordega has pledged to do more and fight till the end of the 2018 African Women Cup of Nations (AWCON).
The lady who was superb for the Falcons was on the score sheet and also got an assist to ensure that Nigeria trashed Copper Queens of Zambia 4-0 on Wednesday evening.
Her scintillating performance didn’t go unnoticed as she picked the woman of the match award.
Ordega, one of the most experienced players in the team said she’s really happy with the award and that it will boost her performance in the next game.
“The award means a lot to me because during the match against South Africa, I didn’t play to my usual high standards.”
“Being a professional a lot of things happen. The last game was not good, my fans and family weren’t happy with my performance. I’m super excited about the award, it’s for my team and the fans out there.”
“This is is not the end, it’s just the beginning. We are a team that never give up no matter what, we will fight till the end. With this victory we are going to come all out to get back our birth right.”
“We are here for business. The performance of today (Wednesday), the match and win is gone. We are looking forward to the next game.”
Spirited Falcons will now face Equatorial Guinea who lost their second game to South Africa 7-1 on Saturday in Cape Coast.
