Super Falcons Captain Desire Oparanozie believes the time is right for the multiple African Champions to transfer their dominance in the Continent to success on the global stage.
The Falcons has only reached the last eight of the Women’s World Cup once in their history, having qualified for the tournament on eight different occasions.
This year’s edition in France will see the team compete in Group A alongside the host Nations, former Champions Norway and Asian giants Korea Republic, Oparanozie who plays in France for Guingamp believes the team has come of age and has to perform.
“I will say I’m highly honoured to be made the captain of the Super Falcons,” Oparanozie.
