Galatasaray of Turkey striker, Henry Onyekuru has stated satisfaction with his return to goals scoring form last weekend, but says he is determined to work harder in order to score more.
Sports247.ng reports that, after netting twice in his side’s 4-2 win against Sivaspor, OInyekuru was beaming with delight that he ended a goals drought, and stressed that is eager to add to his haul early next year.
Onyekuru admitted he was relieved to net again on Sunday, after going nine matches without a goal, and struck twice for the Turkish Super Lig champions, who are now fifth on the log with 29 points from 17 games.
Galatasaray are still six points adrift of surprise league leaders, Istanbul Basaksehir but Onyekuru, who last scored in November at Kayserispor, is staying upbeat that he can help his side climb higher.
The former KAS Eupen and RSC Anderlecht of Belgium star, who is on loan from Everton of England said: “It was a big win for Galatasaray.
“We needed to win and we won with a good margin and I needed to end the goals drought to build my confidence.
“I am excited I got a brace knowing fully well it has being a while I scored. As a striker it is one of the major reasons you’re on the pitch.
“I am happy the goals came and I am working hard to do more, pushing harder to score more goals.
“It is a thing of worry when to me who is known for scoring goals and not doing so.”
