FC Mydtjylland of Denmark striker, Paul Ebere Onuachu has promised to continue with full concentration and remain focused on his game, as he vowed not to allow his new found fame get to his head.
Following his massive breakthrough in the Super Eagles, with a milestone goal against Egypt, which set new marks in African football last week, Onuachu admits there is a tendency for him to get carried away, but promised that it will not happen to him.
In the wake of his stunning seven-seconds winning goal for the Eagles last Tuesday, Onuachu has hogged several headlines, with accolades and rave reviews trailing him all over the world, but the FC Ebedei of Sagamu product insists he is staying cool-headed and will continue that way.
Onuachu gave the pledged during a radio programme monitored in Lagos by sports247.ng and went on to declare that his target is to remain hard working, in order to maintain top form with his club and for Nigeria.
He added: “I am still the humble boy I was before I scored against Egypt. I don’t want to change my attitude and the way I work hard for my club.
“Rather than change, I want to keep improving. That’s why I must always be fully focused and continue to concrete on everything that I do.”
