The Nigerian duo of Paul Onuachu and Cyriel Dessers both featured for KRC Genk as they fell to a 3-2 Belgian Super Cup loss to Club Brugge on Saturday, Sports reports.
Onuachu was on action for the first 45 minutes before making way for Dessers with neither of them being able to prevent The Smurfs from defeat against their bitter rivals.
David Okereke was and used sub for Club Brugge.
Theo Bongoda put Genk ahead in the 44th minute before Matej Mitrovic leveled things up for Brugge deep into first-half added time.
Noa Lang and Clinton Mata both scored in quick succession shortly after the restart to give Brugge a 3-1 lead.
Lang converted from the penalty spot in the 48th minute. Two minutes later, Angolan right back Mata made things worse for Genk with a neat finish to give Brugge a two-goal cushion at the Jan Breydel Stadium.
Jere Uronen scored deep into stoppage time for Genk but there was no enough time to complete a comeback.
