Former Niger Tornadoes coach, Erasmus Onu has called on the technical crew of the Super Eagles to work hard and ensure victory at home against Libya as they are not an easy team.
Onu explained that four points against Libya will not be a bad outcome if a proper plan is executed before the double header in October.
“The next two games in the qualifiers against Libya won’t be a stroll in the park. It is a difficult assignment the Super Eagles,” the former Sunshine Stars and ABS tactician said to sports247.ng.
“If anything wrong should happen, then the Super Eagles will have to forget about playing at the AFCON for the third time, which will very catastrophic.”
“Coach Gernot Rohr and his backroom staff must make sure that they work hard to achieve success in the two games.
“Don’t forget that South Africa will be playing against Seychelles over two legs. I see Bafana Bafana winning both games. That makes our fixtures with Libya very dicey,” the coach explained.
“Four points over the two legs against Libya will be okay for the Super Eagles. But there is no reason why they shouldn’t aspire for more. Six points should be the target. It’s possible,” he added.
