Super Falcon’s defender, Onome Ebi has stated that she is hopeful that the female football tournament in Turkey will help rebuild the squad.
The superb defender in an interview with Sports247, when being asked about her expectations for the Women’s tournament in Turkey, stated that she hopes for a new team, after not playing together for a long time, even though she expressed her sadness of some players not being invited for the turkey tour. She also added that she is prepared to work with the current coach of the team (Randy Waldrum), as she believes he has a lot to offer to the Super Falcons, going forward.
“My expectations going to this turkey tournament is that we are going there to build a team because it’s been long we played together or come together as a team. And I believe that this competition will help us come together as one, after a very long time. It’s sad that some of our players won’t be with us, but we will do with the players we have”.
“Concerning the new coach, I have worked with so many coaches, the new coach will not be difficult. Definitely, he will bring his own tactics and his own style of play to the team. I can work with any coach, and I believe he has got a lot to give to the Super Falcons, and I am 100 percent ready to work with him and I hope he makes a difference in the team as well. So I am hoping to work with him,” she added.
