Remo Stars midfielder Ohamesi Chimezie bagged the most valuable player award of the fourth edition of the NPFL La Liga U15 promises held at the Remo Stars Stadium.
The defensive midfielder was a constant problem for their southwest rival Shooting Stars and he got himself a goal in the tournament as he explained the joy of picking up the award.
“I feel very happy and excited to win this award,” Chimezie said.
“I didn’t believe I was the one who was going to win this most valuable player award but immediately I heard my name I was very very happy and excited,” he added.
The player stated in an interview prior to the final how his mission was to lift the trophy and after the game yesterday he stated, “mission accomplished” as he looked forward to other things.
“Going forward, the plan is to keep developing, keep working hard, more trophies and more Championships and one day play in the U17 and Super Eagles as that’s what we pray for,” Chimezie told Sports247.
