Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa Dissolves ODSFA Board, Appoints Caretaker Team for Sunshine Stars FC

The Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has approved the immediate dissolution of the management board of the Ondo State Football Agency (ODSFA), Sports247 reports.

The announcement, made via a press statement signed by Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, confirmed that the Executive Chairman of the Board, Mr. Dele Ologun, along with other board members, have been relieved of their duties with immediate effect.

They have been directed to hand over all government properties in their possession to the accounting officer of the agency.

As part of the reorganization, Governor Aiyedatiwa has inaugurated a caretaker committee to oversee the operations of Sunshine Stars Football Club, one of the key assets under the dissolved agency.

The new team will report directly to the Office of the State Governor.

The caretaker committee will be led by Mr. Tokunbo Akinyelure, who takes on the dual role of Team Manager and Welfare Officer.

The full list of appointees includes:

1. Morris Kwaghzever – Special Duties

2. Abdul Wahab – Kits Manager

3. Elias Michael – Masseur

4. Adetula Olumide – Physiotherapist

5. Ayodeji Abe – Camp Commandant

6. Ademola Ayodeji – Assistant Kits Manager I

7. Oria Sola – Assistant Kits Manager II

8. Imisi Ayodele – Curator

9. Isaac Afolabi – Media Officer

Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed confidence in the new team’s ability to restore the pride and performance of Sunshine Stars FC, a team which is faced with the daunting task of escaping relegation from the Nigeria Premier Football League this season.

He urged them to work with diligence and commitment towards repositioning the club for success on and off the pitch.

The development marks a new chapter for Ondo State football, as stakeholders await the impact of the newly appointed team on the state’s sporting fortunes.
