Ogenyi Onazi was on the scoresheet as Lithuanian champions FK Zalgiris Vilnius cruised into the UEFA Champions League qualifiers second round with a 2-1 win over Linfield FC on Tuesday, reports Sports247.
Saulius Mikoliūnas got things running for Zalgiris in the 17th minute with a decent strike before Onazi doubled the away side’s lead with a long-range goal late in the first half.
Chris Shields pulled one back for Linfield in the 66th minute converting from the penalty spot.
Zalgiris won 5-2 on aggregate having won the first leg at home 3-1 a fortnight ago. They will face Ferencvaros of Hungary in the second round with the first leg coming next Wednesday.
Onazi joined Zalgiris in February as a free agent after terminating his contract with Danish side SønderjyskE. The 52-time capped Nigerian international has made 20 appearances for the Green-Whites this season with three goals scored.
