Trabzonspor of Turkey midfielder, Eddy Ogenyi Onazi has put aside his ongoing rehabilitation from injury to speak on the Super Eagles’ chances of doing well at this year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, where he is of a view that total focus will see the Nigerian team through.
Onazi affirmed during a radio sports programme chat monitored by sports247.ng that talent is not the issue to talk about in the Eagles, as they have several good players to flaunt.
The former SS Lazio of Italy battler, however, stressed that focus on and off the pitch, as well as concentration and proper planning are key issues that must be tackled for Nigeria to have a glorious AFCON 2019 mission.
Onazi stated: “We have the right talents and good players to help us win the Cup of Nations, but we need to add focus and concentration.
“Once we can be fully focused on the mission and go about planning for it in the best way possible, we can talk about doing well at AFCON.”
