Omosebi Idowu Makes Immaculate FC Debut, Vows To Carve His Own Legacy

Omosebi Idowu, younger brother of former Immaculate FC attacker Omosebi Babatunde—now playing for Etoile de l’Est FC in Rwanda—made his debut for Immaculate FC in the opening match of the Dynasty Scouting League 2025 Season 1.

Introduced at the start of the second half, Idowu featured in Immaculate FC’s season opener against Rising Royals Int’l FA on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu-Ode.

It wasn’t the ideal debut for the teenage forward, as Immaculate FC suffered a 3-0 defeat to the league newcomers. Despite showing glimpses of promise after coming on, his efforts weren’t enough to salvage a point for his team.

Reflecting on his first appearance, Idowu shared mixed emotions:

“I’m happy to make my debut for Immaculate FC because I have been a fan of this club for a long time. But I’m also sad because we didn’t win today.”

Addressing comparisons to his older brother, the young forward made it clear he intends to forge his own path:

“I don’t like the comparison. My brother is a legend at Immaculate FC, but I want to make a name for myself by scoring goals, just like he did. Comparisons would only be a distraction, so I won’t focus on them.”

Wearing jersey number 29, Idowu hopes his strong performance on the right wing will earn him a starting spot in the next fixture as he looks to establish himself at the club.
