Leganes of Spain defender, Kenneth Omeruo has clarified his recent statement that he has personally chosen the clubs where he has played on loan, as he says his parent club, Chelsea, will have a say with his present team over his next port of call.
Sports247.ng reports that, though Omeruo is keen on a permanent deal with Leganes, having failed to tie down a spot in The Blues’ main team, since signing for Chelsea in January 2012, he admits a lot of talks will be required before he can have his way.
The 25-year-old stopper, who has previously spent time on loan with ADO Den Haag of Holland, Middlesbrough of Enfland as well as Turkish Super Lig due of Alanyaspor and Kasimpasa, admitted Leganes will have to reach an agreement with Chelsea over his future.
Omeruo, who has excelled since joining The Cucumber Growers in August, recalled that his agreement with the Liga club has an option of making the deal permanent, which he now wants to execute.
Since making the switch from The Land Of The Ottoman to The Land of The Armada, Omeruo has helped Mauricio Pellegrino’s team get ten clean sheets in 24 appearances, and he now wants to stay put at Estadio Municipal de Butarque, but admits Chelsea will have a say in his plans.
Omeruo stated: “The Chelsea management have never stopped me from making important career decisions and they’ve been very supportive.
“It will be a decision between both clubs, but personally I hope I’ll be a Leganes player for next season and beyond.”
