Nigeria defender, Kenneth Omeruo has dismissed injury scare after he was replaced in Leganes’ final match of the season against Huesca on Sunday.
Omeruo was substituted for Ezequiel Munoz early in the second half of the game following a suspected knock, but the former Standard Liege defender is confidence of his availability for the forthcoming African Cup of Nations in Egypt.
“I will be fine, it was nothing too serious. It was just a kick to my knee and the substitution was just a precautionary one.”
The defender however revealed he will join up with his national team after his short holiday.
“I will be going on holidays with my family for now before returning home for the AFCON preparations,” Omeruo concluded.
The Chelsea defender made 28 appearances for the Spanish Club this season.
