Olumide Gbenro was among the winners at the sixth edition of the Nigeria Pitch Awards held in Lagos on Friday. Bali based Olumide Gbenro, had earlier played a key role in pushing or supporting the agendas of the NFF when he was a sports journalist.
Shina Philips, president of the Nigeria Pitch Awards, expressed gratitude to the Nigeria Football Federation and all football stakeholders in the country for their support in giving Nigerians a transparent and credible award.
In the Football Journalist of the Year (Online) category, Gbenro emerged the winner alongside other categories.
Olumide Gbenro still writes but not actively. He is now based in Bali where he is a Remote Work Influencer.
