Draws for the Round of 16 of football’s only “Royal Rumble ” took place yesterday inside the Olubadan Stadium Hostel Hall.
Representatives of clubs that qualified from the first round (Round of 20), representatives of the Referees ‘ Society, Sports Writer’s Association of Nigeria ( SWAN) including its chairman. Mr. Niyi Alebiosu and members of the Board of Ibadan Football Association (IFA) were present on the occasion.
IFA Chairman, Barr. Rotimi Alli who was supported by Mr. Alebiosu and others conducted the transparent Draws.
The Round of 16 matches would commence from Match no 11 since ten matches have been played so far of which 10 teams cruised to the Round of 16.
The six seeded teams also had their opponents determined by the Draws.
Eight teams are expected to qualify for the Quarter -Finals from the eight matches involving 16 teams.
