Former Super Eagles captain and coach, Sunday Ogorchukwu Oliseh has added his thoughts to doubt over the chances of Liverpool still winning the English Premier League title this season, following their draw with West Ham United on Monday.
The 1-1 in London took Liverpool three points clear at the top of the EPL log, but Manchester City have a chance to overhaul them if they get three points against Everton on Wednesday.
Heading into that fixture, Oliseh noted that poor results against two of the league’s London clubs, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham, have left The Reds in a precarious position.
Oliseh, who played for Liege of Belgium, Ajax of Holland, Juventus of Italy and FC Cologne of Germany during his heyday, admitted that Kop have faced injuries problems in recent days, but says they must admit that the title race has been thrown wide open.
‘The Passmaster’ took to social media to air his thoughts, with a verdict that ‘the heat is on,’ as Man City storm back to overtake Liverpool.
Oliseh wrote: “Watch out for star player Felipe Anderson of West Ham! Seems Liverpool is struggling with injuries & definitely the Pressure of Title favorites. The Title chase is open once again Thanks to West Ham & Tottenham. the Heat is on!”
