Shakhtar Donetsk striker Olarenwaju Kayode has admitted that he is hopeful of winning back his place in Gernot Rohr’s Super Eagles squad.
The former Austria Wien and Girona forward has not played for the national side since appearing against South Africa last year, but he is confident that he can force his way into Rohr’s plans.
“I have got to work hard and do my best to get back in that squad. Hopefully I’m not being forgotten about. I have got to keep working on my game, hopefully I will come back,” Olarenwaju Kayode told Sports247.ng.
The all action striker commented on the Super Eagles next Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying game against Libya this weekend.
“The Super Eagles will win the game on Saturday.”
“It will be very tough but I don’t see the Libyans stopping us.”
