Following his victory in Bayelsa earlier this week, Oladiran Alamu, also known as ‘Destiny Omo Ologo’ will now represent Bayelsa state at the rescheduled forthcoming sports festival set to take place in Edo next month for the boxing category.
The heavyweight fighter now officially holds the slot to represent Bayelsa State after he trumped his way out in the just-concluded trial, Sports247 writes.
Reacting ecstatically after he picked up the slot, ” this is another victory that means so much to me, it’s not easy in the midst of strong, agile opponents but I made it, it’s a big win.”
“Up next is to give in all my best, go and prepare more than ever because there’s still much more to fight for, a prize at stake.”
“I won’t let Bayelsa State down, we did it before, we will do it over again now, I am ready,” he remarked.
It will be notably recalled that Alamu won bronze at the national championship festival with Bayelsa previously and will now look to replicate such feats again come April.
