Nigeria’s latest sensation in America’s National Basketball league (NBA), Victor Oladipo has taken his love for music a step higher by waxing a song for public consumption.
The Indiana Pacers’ youngster is multi-faceted on the court and is set to prove that he is also multi-talented off it.
This comes after the swing-man released a new single called “Connected” from his debut album V.O, and is already generating some buzz.
Sports247.ng learnt that Oladipo’s latest single is causing ripples in basketball sectors and other places and, though there is still no official release date for it, fans are already waiting in rapt anticipation for it.
Interestingly, while the 26-year-old guard is tearing up the music scene, he is simultaneously lighting up NBA defenses in top performances for The Pacers.
Through his first five games, Oladipo is averaging 21.4 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists, with observes also noting that his rise to stardom was the catalyst for a successful season in Indiana last year.
Oladipo became an All-Star, the league’s Most Improved Player and a Third Team All-NBA player in his first season with the Pacers.
For all of his individual success, Indiana are hoping they can improve on their playoff run this year.
They fell in seven games to LeBron James and Cleveland Cavaliers last season, but now out to prove they can handle a deep playoff run led by none other than Oladipo.
Boston Celtics, Toronto Raptors and Philadelphia 76ers came into this season as the favorites in the Eastern Conference, but Indiana and the Giannis Antetokounmpo-led Milwaukee Bucks are new threats.
The conference appears to be up for grabs but, while Oladipo and Pacers are still the underdogs, they are out to prove they are for real, even if the lad still makes out time to wax a song or two on the sidelin
