AS Torino of Italy defender, Ola Aina has put the lie on doubts over his availability for the Super Eagles’ upcoming matches against Seychelles and Egypt, as he was back in top form with his club over the weekend.
Sports247.ng can report that speculation had been rife that the dark-skinned full-back, who is on loan from Chelsea of England, might not be part of the Eagles’ March matches, due to an injury few weeks back.
However, Aina was back in sparkling form last weekend and put up a brilliant outing for Torino during a 2-1 win over Frosinone, following two weeks out nursing an abdominal complaint.
Dramatically, Aina passed a late fitness test for him to even make the Turin-based club’s trip for the game, but he ended up not only playing a part but putting in a sterling outing that complemented their victory.
Aina got off Torino’s bench for Lorenzo De Silvestri in the 69th minute at Stadio Benito Stirpe, but still had enough time to provide an assist for Andrea Belotti to strike home his side’s winner.
That came just eight minutes after Aina got off the visitors’ bench, such tat the former England youth international would feel up to the task of adding to his six Eagles’ caps in the games against Seychelles and Egypt.
