A 75th minute yellow card turned out to be a minor smear on an almost impeccable evening for Ola Aina, as the Super Eagles defender made the best of a left-wing-back role with AS Torino against Fiorentina.
Sports247.ng, however, reports that Aina’s efforts in the home fixture at Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino could not propel his side to domination, as they toiled to hit target for the better part of the fixture.
With the visitors from Florence then seemingly getting the upper hand, as the dying minutes encapsulated the tie, Aina inevitably entered the referee’s bad book after battling to hold his own under pressure.
Dramatically, Aina was then yanked off by Torino’s coach, and replaced by Alex Berenguer, in the 89th minute, apparently to save him from a red card, but soon became the last straw that broke the camel’s back.
What an implosion it turned out to be for Aina’s side, as Federico Chiesa struck in the 87th and 90th minutes tio hand the visiting Viola all three points in an an amazing 2-0 win.
