Former Super Eagles defender, Gbenga Okunowo as predicted that the Nigerian national team’s coaching crew will select the right players to get victory against Libya on Saturday.
Okunowo, who starred for FC Barcelona of Spain at the height of his career, told sports247.ng that he has come to appreciate the role being played by Gernot Rohr as the Eagles’ gaffer, and believes the coach will not disappoint in Uyo.
Casting a look at Nigeria’s permutations from the third match of their race to next year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, ‘Eric’ said he expects Rohr to make the right choice of players for the first leg and wrap up another decent result in the reverse fixture next Tuesday.
“I have 100% guarantee that Rohr will not disappoint against Libya. I believe that the coach’s choice of players and the infusion of different legs will definitely yield the desired result for the team,” said Okunowo, who starred for the Eagles at Ghana/Nigeria 200 Nations Cup in Lagos.
