Watford’s Nigerian-born striker, Stefano Chuka Okaka is back under the bright spotlight for a possible January move to Besiktas of Turkey.
Sports247.ng learnt that talks are on once again for a deal that will take Okaka to Istanbul, as the former Italy international is said to be surplus for requirements at Vicarage Road.
With Super Eagles’ returnee, Isaac Success back into prominent reckoning with The Hornets, Okaka’s playing options have become vastly limited, and reports at the weekend indicate he could be on the way next month.
The Turkish giants are shopping in England to boost their squad in January and the Watford striker’s brother and agent, Carlo Okaka has admits his sibling could be on the cards.
The agent disclosed that he has been working on a new destination for his brother across several weeks, such that Okaka now tops Besiktas’ shortlist of potential additions and he could be on the move next month.
Carlo Okaka revealed: “He certainly looks for a project where he is at the centre of, he has clear ideas about what he wants.
“Last year there were three requests, Galatasaray, Fulham and Sevilla, one of which was very close.
“But there was no more technical time to validate the transfer, we will work in advance to find a solution.”
