Ghana versus Nigeria happens in about nine days time as all stage is set for the CHAN Eagles to face the Black Galaxies of Ghana in a chance to qualify for the CHAN competition in 2023 right there in the Cape Coast Sports Stadium, Ghana, venue of the first of two leg qualification. Nigeria was given a bye in the first round of qualification while Ghana beat Benin Republic to reach the second round of qualification.
Though it’s still fresh in memory of Nigeria football lovers how Ghana qualified at Nigeria’s expense but the CHAN Eagles will leave no stone unturned to qualify. Enyimba Football Club and CHAN Eagles goal keeper, Ojo Olorunleke has promised that if he is given the chance in the forth-coming match against Ghana, he will give his all to see the home based Super Eagles qualify to the next edition of the CHAN.
Ojo who has since joined the rest of the team training in Abuja didnt hide his pleasure in making the national team. ” It’s going to be a one step at a time, that’s why I said I am happy for the call up. I will definitely go there and give my best and give my all. I am sure it’s not going to be a difficult thing. Just go there and do my best to qualify Nigeria in next year’s tournament”
Ojo Olorunleke who has since taken the number one starter’s shirt from regular goalkeeper, John Noble in their club side, Enyimba is one of the goal keepers penciled down to fight for shirt in the CHAN Eagles based on his performance for his club side as John Noble is left with no option to force his way out before the beginning of next season.
