Head Coach of Remo Stars FC, Daniel Ogunmodede has debunked the rumour making the rounds that he beat the assistant referee in the Matchday 22 clash against Gateway United.
The Sky Blue Stars suffered a slim loss to Gateway United on Wednesday when his team traveled to the MKO Abiola Stadium.
In an exclusive interview, Daniel Ogunmodede said he never touched the assistant referee and he will never do something of such because of his professionalism.
“I am very shocked and disappointed when a certain Christopher Lee posted on Facebook that he beats up the assistant referee in the match against Gateway United.”
“I have never done it and I will never do it. I respect match referees and I have never talked down on them let alone laying my hands on any of them.”
“The way certain people cook up stories are usually surprising, how does me talking to the assistant referee amounts to beating up a referee? They should at least do better by reporting the truth always.”
“I can assure Christopher Lee that I will take legal actions against him, I am disappointed because he has tried to demean and defame my character.”
