Director of Prince Kazeem Eletu Queens Football Club, Lateef Ojora Ogunfowora has urged his girls to give their best when Team Lagos female football team begins their first game on Thursday in the zonal elimination ahead of the national sports festival.
Ogunfowora disclosed this after four players from Prince Kazeem Eletu Queens made the final list into Team Lagos ahead of zonal elimination which kicks off today in Osun State.
The four invited players are Peace Ikeduba, Bukola Akintunde, Oluwayemi Osundina, and Zanaib Kazeem
Ogunfowora in a chat with sports247.ng said the invited players are among the best players in Eletu queens and admonished the players to make the club proud in the zonal elimination.
“This is good news for the Eletu family for having four players in Team Lagos. This is to tell you that Eletu Queens is one of the most formidable female teams in the state. We congratulate them for making it to the zonal elimination. On behalf of the club chairman, Prince Kazeem Eletu, I wish our girls the best of luck in the zonal elimination in Osun State,” he said.
In his own comment, the coach of Eletu Queens, Jaiyeola Damilare has expressed delight with the inclusion of his four players in the Team Lagos and wished them the best of luck in their outings.
He however urged them to give their best and shun vices that can ruin their career in the camp. He boasted that with the caliber of players invited to the camp, Lagos would pick a sole ticket for the national sports festival.
Meanwhile in the draw ceremony held early today, Lagos was drawn and the winners between Oyo and Ogun in tomorrow’s clash would meet Lagos on Thursday morning at the Lanreleke Sports Academy Football Pitch, Ileogbo, Osun state.
In the male category, Lagos drew by as well and winners between Oyo and Ogun would face Lagos on Thursday afternoon to decide who qualifies from the zone.
A winner in each category would qualify for a football event at the national sports festival scheduled to hold in Delta State in December.
