All is now set for the last four of the 2021 Bet9ja sponsored Ogun State Football League, one of the annual football tournaments on the calendar of the Ogun State Football Association.
Patriots FC will take on Abdul Best Football Club after accounting for JCI Football academy to qualify for the semi-final, Abdul Best Football Club had negotiated their way past Shelter Planner to get through to this stage of the event.
The other semi-final will see El Cardiz FC, conquerors of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC, Ogun State command battle Power DAN FC who beat Marvelous FC in the Super 8
The semi-final games will come up on Monday, 10th May 2021 at the Gateway Stadium, Ilaro Ogun State, the first semi-final kicks off at 9 am, while the second game will begin at 12 noon.
Chairman of Ogun State Football Association, Alhaji Ganiyu Majekodunmi said the state League has so far lived up to expectations in all spheres, despite the Covid-19 induced challenges.
He said, “All the participating teams right from the beginning of the tournament to this stage have done well, we have been able to overcome so many challenges and we are glad that we are able to work things out”.
Alhaji Majekodunmi who is an Executive Board Member of the Nigeria Football Federation called on all stakeholders to develop football at the grassroots level, describing it as the key to future success in Nigerian football.
