The Acting General Manager of the Ogun State Building Production Management Authority (OGBPMA), Builder (Mrs.) Titilayo Oladogbon, has vowed to take decisive action against developers who break government seals on properties.
Speaking in Yewa South Local Government, Ilaro, she highlighted offences such as unauthorized development, construction without registered professionals on-site, absence of project information boards, and illegal tampering with sealed properties.

Oladogbon expressed concern over violators who continue construction after breaking seals instead of regularizing their projects or applying for an appeal to unseal the properties. She emphasized that the authority would deploy task forces, including arrest orders, to curb such illegal activities.
According to the Ogun State Building Production Management Regulations (OGBPMR) 2022, breaking government seals is a severe offence punishable by fines based on the level of contravention. Oladogbon urged the public to submit a notice of commencement at least seven days before starting any construction to ensure compliance.
She reaffirmed the authority’s commitment to supervising and enforcing safe, resilient, and sustainable building practices in line with the OGBPMR, 2022.
